Yes. NDS 6.0 and iDS 5.1 have virtually the same source code. > Which one is the better choice regarding further developement, etc. ? Both iPlanet (now Sun/SunONE) and AOL Netscape plan to continue separate development. There is currently a NDS 6.01 available and a 6.02 will be available shortly. There will also be a 6.1 sometime later this year. Netscape has retained many of the core directory and security developers, including some of the architects of NDS 4.x. Sun has many of the developers of the iDS 5.x product, including the original Sun DS team and the Innosoft DS team. I don't really know about iDS product plans. But iDS is and will be a core part of Solaris as well as SunONE, so I would assume new iDS features would be aligned with those goals. As far as NDS goes, please refer to http://enterprise.netscape.com for product information and market positioning of NDS as well as the rest of the Netscape enterprise software products - mail server, web server, cert server, calendar server, etc. > Thanks in advance, > > Bernd
