maxdescriptors in netscape ldap 4.11

Hello,
i had a problem with LDAP server,
it didn�t respond to querys,
and i have to restart.
In the log there was an error saying that the limit of  filedescriptor was
passed
I have 300000 entries in LDAP.
i would like to know what value i have to put in maxdescriptors to avoid
this problem.
