Currently we use iPlanet Directory Server 5.0-SP1(moving to Netscape
Dir Svr 6.11 in the future) which acts a supplier to several
consumers. The changelog is set to unlimited, and the purge delay for
all replication agreements is set to 7 days(the default).

1. Does this mean that if a replication agreement is down (for reasons
unrelated to the Dir Svr product.e.g. network connectivity etc..) for
a period longer than 7 days, we will need to reinitialize the
consumer, since the purge delay is set to 7 days ?

If yes, does this also mean that there is no point in having the
changelog set to unlimited ?

2. The changelog location is specified in the console, so I can always
go and check the size on the UNIX file system. How do I know the
storage overhead for the purge delay ? Where is this information
stored ?

3. What are the recommendations or best practices etc..

Thanks all.
