Hi,
(hope i'm not writing to the wrong news).

I'm trying to use PAM to authenticate users via LDAP (a remote iPlanet
directory server 6) on a linux (Red hat 8.0).
It functions ok. But now, i'd like to use encrypted connections over
SSL.
I'm able to connect via SSL on port 636 with ldap-client apps (so i
think the server is ok, (well, TLS doesn't seem to work, but SSL is
ok)), but i'm not able to configure ssl on /etc/ldap.conf in order to
use pam (ssl on, port 636, tls or any other combination has no
result)... (i think that the connection isn't even established).
I don't know if i'd install some Netscape (NSPR, NSS ?) libraries in the
linux client... has anybody met this problem before? how should i
configure the client?
thanx

bye
