I'm having the same problem as you. Were you ever able to resolve
this? I am running the same code/cert file on Windows, Solaris, and
Linux. It works on all these platforms, but on HPUX
ldapssl_client_init always returns -1.
I'm using the 5.08 binaries from Sun's website.
