It is not so much as a Netscape problem as a generic Microsoft programming
mentality. A lot of newly installed programs try to grab file associations for
any type of files that they support vaguely - e.g. real player would try to grab
MP3 files, M$ media player grabs any sound/movie files. So since Netscape
can *read* jpeg files, it takes association of any file which is of that
type, ignoring the fact that another (more appropriate) programs that can
read/write/modifies jpeg files exists on the system.

Anyway, the solution is to open any folder, choose "view -> option -> file type",
find the jpeg entry, and change it back to associate with photo editor. No need
to remove netscape or mozilla.
