I posted here because I thought Mozilla based browsers too support DDE and I coulnt find any document. I have now a legacy app which is completely broken because of lack of DDE support in Netscape 6 and mozilla based browsers. I looked at the plug-in API for Netscape 6 and Mozilla and I don't think I would be able to do what my legacy can do using DDE transactions such as WWW_Activate,WWW_RegisterURLEchoc: 1. Launch the browser or attach to an existing instance and Activate it. 2. Watch that specific instance for any URL change and post the URL to an external app 3. If the instance is closed, post a notification to an external app. I don't understand why DDE support is withdrawn from Netscape 6? Any help would be highly appreciated.
