SCRIPTURES WORD ON MONEY
The Scripture says, Whoever believes in Him will not be
disappointed. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek;
for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call
upon Him (Romans 10:11-12).

The Editors Pulpit:
Cooking on a Budget, While Not Budgeting Your Appetite Part I
How do we keep those grocery bills down but still get the food we
want? As always, you just have to be prepared to work a little harder
than the average shopper.
Plan, plan plan! Decide what kind of meals youll want for the week,
what ingredients you need. Buying more usually means you pay
less for each individual item, so maybe plan for the same meal all
week (spaghetti and meatballs).
Its generally a good idea to have a list so you dont blow your budget
on impulse purchases. You dont need to strictly adhere to it, but
use it as a guideline. Just ask yourself do you really need this or is it
an impulse buy?
Take advantage of the thousands of coupons out there as well as
double coupon days. When you sign up for shoppers cards, youll
often be able to take advantage of special offers. Some stores
devise point systems that allow you additional discounts the more
you shop with them.
Shopping online may not save you much money, but it will save you
lots of time. Why spend the time grocery shopping when it be
delivered? Be sure to compare the prices and the terms of service
between each company before committing.
And, of course, dont forget the golden rule of grocery shopping:
dont do it on an empty stomach. I learned the hard way and came
home with a bill $30 higher than usual.

meal, check out:

TIP OF THE WEEK
The Six Steps to the Mega-Cooking Process:
1. Planning:
We start with planning, selecting recipes, and scheduling tasks.
2. Equipment:
We consider our equipment and collect, borrow, or rent good tools.
3. Ingredients:
We procure ingredients, competing with restaurants and grocery
stores for quality and price.
4. Methods:
We process and cook the ingredients on a much larger scale than
single servings.
5. Storage:
Storage is a major consideration, as we want our food to be delicious
when we do eat it months later.
6. Serving:
Youll have to consider thawing time, reheating, and serving quite
differently than when you prepared, cooked, and served a dish all on
the same day.
