I've just finished reading/skimming the 100 messages in this group. (I
did them in a strange order, so forgive me if some posts are redundant
or show a lack of grasp of the full picture.)

What I see here is a lot of very keen people who want to progress
quickly and produce world-beating "documentation" for Mozilla. I also
see that the need has been realised to define "documentation" more
carefully, and think about what tools are going to be used.

Now, in an ideal world, we'd have a Documentation Module Owner, or
similar person, to oversee all of this and provide a unified vision for
where this effort is going. We don't have one of those, so consensus
will have to suffice.

Several suggestions/thoughts:
- Discuss things in newsgroups, implement them in bugs. Right tool for
the right job.
- Don't let the search for the perfect tool monopolise your time
- Non-optimal solutions are a fact of life. Half a loaf is better than
no bread.
- A low barrier to entry for documentation writing is crucial.
- You need to decide whether you are going to focus your efforts on 1.0
or 1.1 onwards.

I think that more haste and less speed is what's needed here. :-) Take a
week or two to throw ideas around.
