I think offically was taken a bit far, however the whole idea of the
catalog reorganization was to replace the current /docs layout. However
since then a lot of opposition has come to light and thus certain things
need to be worked out before /docs can be offically replaced with
/catalog/.
So the official deactivation of /docs never happened. I think I
accidently mislead WeirdAl on that subject.
However it does seem to me there needs to be some discussion on this
flat file versus heirarchy layout since there seems to be a lot of
disagreement on the subject.
