On 26 Aug 2002, it is alleged that Phil Demro sauntered in to
netscape.public.mozilla.documentation and loudly proclaimed:

First off, you're well in the wrong place. Have a look at the groups in my
sig.

Different icons didn't make it into the build you're using; they were
supposed to, and did in the .zip, but didn't make it in to the .exe till the
next day.

As for icons for file types, this can be done; I'd done it ages ago using
the Giovanni/grayrest icons, but the inclusion of some of those icons in
1.1b seems to include those.  Additional iconpacks are available;
unfortunately, I've lost the URL. . . .

Hmm, something like the first option (open unrequested windows) under Edit |
Preferences | Advanced | Scripts & Plugins: Allow scripts to?

With Moz? -- Can't use either Hotmail or Netscape WebMail directly thro' the
e-mail client: <http://mozilla.org/start/1.0/faq/mail-news.html#3.5>.

That said, there are a number of other services out there you can access
either thro' a web interface or thro' an e-mail client. If you're looking
for one, make sure it allows both IMAP and POP access.

One with which I've been quite happy has been <http://myrealbox.com/>; they
also support S/HTTP and (tho' and e-mail client) TLS. It has 10 Mb server
storage (for IMAP). Novell is also pretty serious about anti-spam measures
and has AV protection set up as well.

If you can puzzle your way thro' Schweizerdeutsch, have a look at
<http://my-mail.ch>: their authentication method is SCRAM-MD5, and you can
set up an LDAP directory there which is accessible thro' a Contacts folder
to which you can subscribe (/via/ IMAP, of course). The service has 20 Mb
server storage.

Both of 'em show Hotmail to the pathetic service it is.

For more info, take a look at
<http://www.ii.com/internet/messaging/imap/isps/> -- scroll down enough and
you'll come to a table that should give you some guidance.
