Well, I'm a happy camper today. Mr. Wang sent me a nice list of people willing to volunteer on documentation (probably about 3 dozen). I've forwarded copies of it to jkeiser and brantgurga. :)

Now we need to match everyone on the list to technologies they use fairly frequently and are lacking in docs. John's little Gecko Doc Map is a good starting place. How well does it match up with our Module Owners page, and how willing are they to spend time with us?

Who wants me to be the one to write an e-mail message to our volunteers en masse, inviting them directly to participate in n.p.m.doc?

I think we need to find out what each person's specialty is. If you contact each one an match them with their specialty, that would be of help.

For example:
Name | Areas | Technologies | Writing Skill
Brant Gurganus | Calendar, Browser | HTML, XHTML, CSS | Grammar
Alex Vincent | documentation infrastructure | HTML | organization

I hope you are seeing what I mean by the above example. Intended audience might also be useful.
