Where does Mozilla store it's bookmarks? I installed new mozilla in an old mozilla directoy. I wanted to give it the bookmarks from an old Netscape 4.7 install But the original bookmarks from the old install have taken hold, and the "bookmarks.htm" (or bookmarks.html, or any other name I can thing of) file seems to have no effect. I have a "personal tool bar" showing up in Mozilla, but I can't modify any of the bookmarks there...
I tried modifying them in Netscape 4.7 and then bringing them back to Mozilla, but it ignores everything I do and spits back what it started out with. I have deleted the original bookmarks. I've modified the bookmarks and then looked for a recently "modified file" (via file search) and have' found that nothing got modifed... at least not the modify date.... Seems like someone is trying to protect me from myself... Taken away the control I've always had over bookmarks... suggestions??? (I'm running win98, have ie 5.5, Opera 6 & 7, Netscape 4.7 as well as Mozilla installed...)
