Well, since my goal for the object documentation is to have everything be
highly cross-referenced, linking to an external set of pages wouldn't work
well, especially since my documentation is in a different format. To make
the dom reference fit well with the rest of my documentation, it would
necessitate absorbing the documentation currently available.

For a variety of reasons, one of the main ones being that I've found
documenting the Mozilla object model to be a highly educational experience, I
felt it would "fit" better if all the documentation on the site had not only
the same format, but the same writing style.

I wouldn't object to taking and converting the existing dom reference, but I
didn't want to step on anyone's toes.

I wouldn't mind coordinating with devmo, but again, due to the complexity of
the project (e.g. its not static files, but rendered in an XSL application
server) it has very particular hosting requirements.

Besides, the way I've approached this project to date is similar to
xulplanet.com. It gives me an opportunity to create a highly focused set of
documentation, similar to MSDN, that can stand on its own.
