I'm new to this whole documentation thing, and I was wondering, where is a good place for some one who is interested and has read the docs to start? I was thinking of finding an easy bug in bugzilla, but I'm not sure. Any advice/tips/guidence for me?
Hi Zameer,
There are a number of different ways you could get started helping with the Mozilla documentation.
If you're interested in helping with the developer documentation, the quickest way to get started would be to go to the new Devmo Wiki:
http://developer-test.mozilla.org/docs/Main_Page
Once there, I suggest reading the "How to Help" document, here:
http://developer-test.mozilla.org/docs/Devmo:How_to_Help
If you don't really have any particular projects in mind right now, we are looking for help in migrating some of the old DevEdge documents into the Devmo Wiki. More information about that is here:
http://developer-test.mozilla.org/docs/DevEdge:Priority_Content
If you would like to write new content, we're always looking for articles, tutorials, and frequently asked questions docs about almost any topic. I'm not sure what your experience is, so wouldn't know what to suggest as a potential topic for you, but if you do decide to do this, feel free to add your content directly to the wiki.
A lot of the older documentation on http://www.mozilla.org needs to be updated and eventually migrated into the Devmo Wiki, so taking on a project like that would also be useful.
Does that help get you started?
