Actually I have been encountering just the opposite problem. I've been 
editing new and existing HTML pages and have seen consistent *loss* of 
whitespace, both within existing (unmodified) paragraphs and also newly 
written ones. This is within simple paragraphs, not spanning multiple 
tags. Using Netscape6 RTM (from CD) on Linux. Haven't yet verified on win86.

The result is that apparently random adjoining words get pushed together 
likethis. I haven't yet found any reproducible test cases, but this 
happens frequently for me.
