Exactly. Robin's analysis was excellent and we know about this 
unfortunate problem. The bug is really in the 4.7 code, which takes any 
tags it doesn't understand (e.g., tbody) and shoves them into the 
caption. Very silly thing to do, of course, but you know about 20/20 
hindsite and all!
We decided the only rational course was to abandon the 4.x Composer in 
cases like these and hope people upgrade quickly to 6.x. Making the new 
Composer much better at round-trip preservation is a major goal for the 
Composer team, but it is a very difficult problem, so we still have a 
lot to do to make that happen. But we are aware of how important this is.
