It seemed to be stale. My time is - as anybody elses - limited, so a simpler
task (plain text looks to be simpler than script editing - imposes syntax
highlighting) would be preferred.

I would too.
But again, I'm looking for a plain text editor. Though I'd love to use a
Mozilla based script, HTML, "richtext" editor.
