At work we use an in-house publishing system. Today the users can choose between a java-editor and the old netscape 4 composer. With theese it is possible to push a button in the webpage and the composer loads with the desired URL. I like to do the same thing with mozilla editor, but this cannot work due too security reasons. Would it be possible for me to create a plugin or a xpcomponent which exports lets say Editor object which are allowed to launch the editor. Like Editor.open(url, args), Editor.close(). I believe other people need this functionality, but is this the way to go? And if it is properly written, is it likely that it could be incorporated in the mozilla source? Does anone have any suggestions on how it _should_ be done. Is this proposal an utterly stupid idea? Any comments are appreciated. Regards, -- espen
