Can someone point me in the right direction
toward mucking around in the Moz code to change the colors that show up
in the Editor's color palette? I don't know anything about it, but I'm
willing to play with the code until I figure it out. I've gone through Bugzilla on this, and I've been advised repeatedly that a features bug requesting a user-configurable palette will be treated as a "Won'tFix", so forget it. Evidently, there aren't many others who find it absurd that just plain blue (#0000ff) is not worth including in the standard palette. (!) Go figure... >From a larger perspective, it seems kind of improbable that I'm the only one who has a need to define my own colors, especially considering what an incredibly primitive time-waster it is to have to hard-enter hex code REPEATEDLY just to get such basic colors as blue or fuschia (#ff00ff). I don't get the thinking behind that, but I don't have to... I'll just figure out how to fix it for myself. I'd prefer to invest my time in creating a solution, rather than continue to squander my time in endlessly dealing with the problem. While I'm there, I'll replace some of the bizarre colors I never use with ones that make more sense to me. Who knows...maybe I'll figure out how to create a generalized UI front end (maybe a Preferences window?) that lets Moz users define their own colors. I confess complete ignorance of the matter, but it can't be that complicated. Thanx! |
