This is a general question to all you parsing experts out there.  I'd
appreciate some feedback on this issue.

As far as the logic and parse trees involved in HTML that is valid to a
declared DOCTYPE, and the many variants of "quirks mode" HTML, wouldn't you
say that it requires more effort and software engineering to address all the
possible issues of quirks mode and logically rendering it on the browser
canvas as apposed to valid HTML?

I'd also like to ask the same of WYSIWYG editors.  Given the degree of
complexity some of the ones like Dreamweaver went to to be able to generate
quirks mode for various browsers, which shows their engineers are capable,
don't you think they should at least be able to generate clean quality valid
DOCTYPE HTML?
