Hi everybody!
I'm trying to get Mozilla's editor to convert special characters like
(german umlauts) or the degree symbol into html replacments like
ä ö ü and °.
This works in the Composer when I use Windows XP but not on Mac OS X.
The only difference that I can see is that the character set is set to
ISO-8859-1 on Windows and utf-8 on the Mac.
Midas, however, never translates the characters regardless of the OS.
Is it possible to force Midas to perform these translations
independently?
Thanks in advance!
Matthias
P.S. I'm using Mozilla 1.7.3
The forthcoming version 0.50 of Nvu, http://nvu.com , will include
a preference for that. It's an enhanced standalone version of Composer.
