blizzard is right, i shouldn't make guesses when i don't know what the
bottleneck is (if there even is one).
i may give a shot in the next day or two at building a profiling-enabled
mozilla, so i can see what's taking time. to some degree this is aimed at my
curiosity about bugs 64140/57966/<maybe>60494, all related to very slow
rendering of kuro5hin.org pages.
but all Galeon is is a straight Gtk interface on top of the Gtk embedding
widget. The same should be trivially possible on top of MacEmbed (the state of
which i don't really know).
In the meantime i vote that all interface hackers be given only pentium 133's
with 32 megs of ram ....
