This reminds me, where does the independency upon the GTK toolkit on
the Unix side fit into the embedding schedule?

To give you some background for this question, I work on a Motif/MFC
based commercial application which uses an embedded web browser. The
initial plans were to use Mozilla on both Windows and Unix (to keep
our code consistant and standard compliant across platforms), but as
GTK is pretty uncooperative towards Xt and Motif any embedding attempts
have failed, so currently the application ships with an embedded IE on
Windows, and nothing on Unix. So I am interested in knowing when this
unfortunate situation can be alleviated.
