Hmm, I just generated a test MFC app wizard and inserted the control 
into a dialog and focus does not work at all. This is strange because it 
seems fine in my CBrowser app 
(mozilla/embedding/browser/activex/tests/cbrowse) which uses MFC and 
from VB too.

I'll investigate further but I would hazard that the class wizard 
wrapper generated to house the control is interfering with focus 
behaviour in some way.
