As I understand it now, I can only use the GRE from some executable that I have to implement myself, typically in C++.
I would prefer some sort of "generic executable", namely a JavaScript interpreter that I can invoke on some .js file, from which I can call GRE services. This would be analogous to starting a python or perl app. Therefore I think that such a thing would be useful for other developers as well. (Even Mozilla itself might be invoked that way.) Is anything like this already available and I just didn't find it? Or is it planned? Hans. PS: Is there a group more appropriate for this topic than n.p.m.e?
