Yes, just go into the profile for the ActiveX control and modify the prefs.js by hand. I believe the http settings are stored as "network.proxy.http" & "network.proxy.http_port". In more recent versions of Mozilla / Gecko it may even be possible to edit these in the control at runtime via about:config.
