I've been trying to get the npmozax plugin working in COM connect mode so I can use the Windows Media Player control in my Gecko-based application with full support for scripting. I'm using Mozilla 1.5. I included the --enable-activex-scripting option in mozconfig, and when I built Mozilla, the plugin was built as well. I copied npmozax.dll to the plugins directory, npmozax.xpt and nsAxSecurityPolicy.js to the components directory, and I copied the activex.js file from Netscape 7.1 to the defaults\pref directory. Then I tried going to the demo page where you can choose a media clip from a list and control the player using buttons in an HTML form. The player control appeared, but the buttons iddn't do anything. I also went to the DevEdge article on using the Windows Media Player control in Netscape 7.1 and followed the seocnd of the three links at the end. The buttons there don't work with my Mozilla build either, though they work in Netscape 71. Any idea what's going on and what I can do to fix it?
Thanks, Matt Campbell
