The following interfaces were mistakenly added to the Gecko SDK as part of the patch for bug 124990:
nsIDOM3DocumentEvent.idl nsIDOM3EventTarget.idl nsIDOMCustomEvent.idl nsIDOMEventGroup.idl
The interfaces were not marked FROZEN, and there is no intention of freezing these interfaces because they do not correctly expose the DOM 3 event API. Bug 256333 includes plans to modify these interfaces.
The plan as such is to solicit feedback from the development community to ensure that no one made the unfortunate assumption that these interfaces are frozen just because they happen to be included in the Gecko SDK.
Assuming this doesn't cause trouble for existing embedders or extension authors, the plan is to remove these interfaces from the Gecko SDK for Mozilla 1.8 (Firefox 1.1) with the possibility that they may be modified in the future.
