Odds are he has turned on Printed Quotable Mime Encoding and is posting
from Outlook or Outlook Express.

95%  who post using this don't have a clue about this default setting in
OE and the others like to tweak the noses of people it agravates. On a
Mac items sent this way show up in 4-6 point Arial and no amount of
increasing the font size has any affect.

I'd personally like to have Bill Gates bend over and have this Format
stuck up where the sun don't shine.
