If it works with NS6 but not with M18, then it's likely a bug that has been
fixed after M18. Check out Mozilla 0.6, which is what NS6 is based on, or,
even better, try a recent nightly.
If your remark that it works in NN6 was just a typos and you meant NS4.x,
and the problem still persists in recent nightlies, then you can search for
existing bug reports yourself (see
http://www.ags.uni-sb.de/~afranke/mozilla/bugs-faq.html) and if you don't
find one, the best thing you can do is create a minimal testcase and file a
new bug.
