As you will know, LDAP is not currently supported, though it is being
worked on gradually on a volunteer basis. Contributions from
organizations such as Sun would be very welcome.

You would be far better off posting this to the
netscape.public.mozilla.mail-news group. netscape.public.mozilla.general
is so full of off-topic messages (discussions about previous versions of
Netscape, etc) that hardly any Mozilla programmers subscribe to it.
