Not in Netscape 6.0 but a feature request has been filed in bugzilla to ask for this
in a future verstion,
whether or not this feature appears depends a lot on having the time to
implement it because Netscape have other priorities to concentrate on first.

BTW this newsgroup is for the discussion of the development of Mozilla
which Netscape 6 and Beonex is based on - not for end user questions on
these mozilla based products. The Netscape web site

Netscape 6 is based on Mozilla 0.6, the latest release of Mozilla (0.7)
now implements an audible bleep when new mail arrives. You can download
Mozilla 0.7 from: http://www.mozilla.org/releases/
If you're using Windows I recommend the installer .exe build.
Please note mozilla does not include Instant Messenger or Java, java can
be installed separately but if you use Instant Messenger stay with
Netscape 6.
