Hi,
I am currently using the Jan 11 nightly for windoze. I have working
Acrobat Reader 4 and Acrobat Exchange 3 installations on my system. I
tried copying the "nspdf32.dll" from either of these into the plugins
directory.
The plugin shows up in "about:plugins". When I try to access a pdf
file, it gives a message box saying unable to launch Acrobat. Earlier
builds used to crash after pressing "OK", but the current one allows
me to go "back" to the parent directory.
Also if I try to associate Acrobat Reader 4 in the helper
applications, it says another application (Exchange, I think) is
currently associated and whether it should be removed. If press "OK",
nothing happens and the message box pops up again.
Does mozilla-windoze maintain its own file-type association or does it
use the system registry. I remember that the Netscape 4.x builds had a
tendency to corrupt registries when playing with helper applications.
It had even made my entire system unusable a couple of times ...
