We should at least be able to define the interfaces to a roaming modules regardless of whether we can actually get code from Netscape for the old support. Ideally, this should be a new ground up implementation that would frontend several "pluggable" storage and retrieval mechanisms (at the minimum HTTP and LDAP to give the functionality of Netscape 4.x). In fact, I can really only think of two valid calls to the module: store() and retrieve(). Assuming that everything is put together properly, it should make it easy for additional storage mechanisms (syncml, etc.) to be added at a later date.
