Aloha,
if you go into /home/luser/.mozilla/package/plugins and delete the sym link 
to the plugin Mozilla will run again... the link is -.> 
libjavaplugin_oji.so@

I have been trying for a while to get someone to acknowledge this problem 
and no one has responded.... I was told to go get the Sun JRE but that was 
only one voice and no one from mozilla or netscape has mentioned a fix...

If I find one I will post here... btw, I am running Mandrake 7.2 with 
Netscape 4.76 and it never crashes.... I just like Mozilla better and don't 
prefer to support AOL/Timewarner/Netscape...
