backing up & restoring profiles

        i've been having problems with my nightlys and wanna do a clean 
remove/reinstal.  my question is: how do i back up my profile 
(mail/news)?  just copy the folders from windows/application 
data/mozilla?  when i re-install will mozilla automatically find my profile?
