Input Encoding in Mozilla?

Problem (Mozilla, M17, M18, 0.7 -- Solaris):

After I type non-ascii text (1-byte, not unicode
--- cyrillic) in any Input field, Mozilla before
send it to server try to perform
conversion. This conversion is wrong.

Where I should see to replace (or turn off)
used converter?

Any info apprisiated...
