Greg,
URLs may not contain blanks. As you've discovered, IE is aware of this and
covers up lots of what are really user errors. The solution is to use the
%20 notation where you now have a blank.
You did not describe how the line that you "pass along" is generated. If
you did that, someone might be able to help with specifics on how to get the
proper string into the URL.
Um, it is generally considered to be bad form to post the same question into
multiple newsgroups. It's probably not good for me to reply to all those
