If they are using Communicator the do the following:
Communicator open:
Edit > Preferences > Mail and Newsgroups > idnetity
Uncheck add my personal card to messages (Vcard)
For it to work in in Communicator correctly, you must also have the
plugins installed "About Time" and "About People".
