connecting to internal IP failed :-(

I've downloaded Mozilla 0.8 for Linux. It is working, but I cannot use my 
internal IP (192.168.1.99):
"Error 400 - Unable to connect to remote host or host not responding."

Other browser (Netscape 4.7 or Konqueror on the same Computer) are able to 
connect to this server.

Why is Mozilla/Linux not able to connect to an internal IP?
