Netscape/mozilla plugins (again)

I've recently installed NS6 with the java2 plugin. But I can't get this or 
ANY plugin to work. When NS startsup, the only plugins it registers is teh 
libnullplugin. I've searched half of teh net for an anwser for this 
problem, but couldn't find one.

BTW I have a static link to the java plugin.

My system:
Redhat 7.0, Kde 2.1, NS 6.01

Does someone got an anwset to this, cause it's driving me mad ...
