XHTML Support?

What is the level of XHTML support planned for Mozilla 1.0?  How native
is it, as related to simple HTML?  Will extra XML definitions be
needed?  For example, given a generic ASP or JSP page, I can code in
HTML/DHTML/CSS/etc. straight and fully expect it to interface wth the
server and clients fine.  How realistic will that be with XHTML/XML on
the Mozilla client?
