i'm not sure if this would work in linux, but this is what i had to do
for win95: make a copy of the mozilla.exe file in the same directory,
and rename it to netscape.exe. do this before you run the flash and/or
shockwave installer. this usually allows the installer to start mozilla
as "netscape.exe", which allows it register correctly.
