Well I'm going to recommend you visit a few pages first. Don't worry,
I've setup an entire site for "Mozilla newbies" like you.
First I would suggest you know what exactly is Mozilla:
http://www.gerbilbox.com/newzilla/general/general01.php
Then know what the difference and relationship between Mozilla and Netscape:
http://www.gerbilbox.com/newzilla/general/general02.php
You can look at other pages at my site and read what interests you, but
I think you should know those two first. Also, keep in mind that
Netscape 6.0 (including 6.01) is based on Mozilla 0.6, which was
released in November 2000. It's now April 2001, and Mozilla 0.9 is
expected to be released before the end of this month.
Downloading Mozilla is not suggested unless you want to test it out or
you can live with the growing pains of its development. Don't get me
wrong, I think Mozilla is great and improves on a regular basis, but it
can change rapidly with each new build. So some days it can be really
unstable (that's why I keep Netscape 4 for these days), other days it's
quick and snappy, but overall it improves. So it's not for the faint
hearted. And you should probably read this first:
http://www.gerbilbox.com/newzilla/mozilla/general01.php
Hope that helps.
