Agreed. When we brought this up back in the 70's, when Mozilla.org was just
starting up, the idea was to have a pref to turn off/on preloading. Make it
optional. Since then, things like GUIs and >8 bit processors have sprung up,
and options have multiplied. A gent and I started to collaborate on a
preloader app, but it got sidetracked as this was when Mozilla was
undergoing a major core shift. It's still a viable idea though.
