That's a bug in 0.8.1.
You can set the signature manually, if you like.
Go to your profile directory and open prefs.js with your favorite
text-editor.
Add the following line:
user_pref("mail.identity.id1.sig_file", "c:\\sig.txt");
where id1 is your first Mail/News account, id2 would be your second
mail/news account and so on.
