More info on Netscape 4.7 and Palm Pilot

Hi,

I know Netscape 4.7 had a syncronization between its Address Book and 
Palm Pilot.  Does anyone know what did it require?  I was interested in 
the technology used and the licensing if any.  Any comments or reference 
would be helpful.  Thanks in advance.
