You want insane memory usage? You are one of those people who bitch
that Mozilla opens and takes 20,000k of RAM to display a blank web page
and news pane? Want me to send you a screen show of my Task Manager,
showing IE with a blank window using up 17,536k of RAM? Cause it's
doing it right here. IE 6 beta, first time it's been launched today.
Haven't even visited a site with it. So guess what, Mozilla only uses 3
megs of RAM more to do the same damned thing, and on top of that IE does
not include an integrated Mail and News client, an IRC client, an HTML
editor, or anything. That 17,536k being used right now is for A BLANK
WINDOW WITH AN ADDRESS BAR! At least Mozilla's 36,532k is for 2 browser
windows, two composition windows, and a news window.

Ok, IE is closed now. I'm going to open it:
it opened with 10,936k RAM. Let me open a second window: 12,000k now.
Let's actually open a web site, 18,056k RAM. Let's open TWO websites:
22,096k RAM. For two websites. How much would it take for me oto open
Outlook and Outlook Express right now? I don't have accruate memory
usage numbers, because I don't have either installed, but I would
imagine that they use more than 15,000k together. That would bring the
total for those 3 up to the same as Mozilla is using right now. Both
browsers are open with 2 web pages loaded, Mozilla has a news window and
two composition windows, and it's using about the same amount (maybe
even less) than IE + Outlook + Outlook Express would be using to do the
same thing. Where is this "Insane Memory Usage" now? I'm not even sure
if Iexplore.exe's mem usage is correct, considering so damned much of it
is integrated into my OS. How much higher would it be if all of it's
internals had to be loaded separately, instead of being part of the OS?
The nerve of some people
