"What?!?  I don't want my Mozilla preferences stored in my Quake 
directory!!!  What is up with that?!?"

It may appear simple, but to me "random" could mean that it will select 
some random directory on the hard disk in which to place the preferences.

Better yet: "Would you like your preference files stored in a random 
directory within your profile folder for increased security?"
